Welcome to the 30m MAMBO Time/Sensitivity Estimator
(J. Pety, S. Bardeau, E. Reynier, R. Zylka)
This estimator was designed to allow you to quickly decide whether and how
your propositions of observation are feasible. It thus computes and outputs
simultaneously the results
- for 3 different weather conditions (i.e. excellent, average and poor),
- for the different observing modes available (i.e. ONOFF or mapping),
- for the different algorithms used to restore mapping observations.
The output repeats all the user input parameters. The searched numbers
(either the reached sensitivity or the elapsed telescope time) are
bracketed by ---> <--- for easy viewing.
The top options enable a quick change of the estimator behavior:
- SENSITIVITY|TIME: Estimates either the sensitivity or the telescope time.
- ONOFF|MAP: Estimates for either the ONOFF or mapping observing mode.
- Shift-and-add|EKH: Estimates using either the shift-and-add or the EKH restoration algorithm.
- WINTER|SUMMER: Estimates for either the winter or the summer season.
- VERBOSE OUTPUT: Toggle on or off additional information.
All the buttons output the results associated with the newly selected estimator behavior.
Additional help is available in the IRAM memo 2010-2.
